Clairefontaine Paint’ON pads are the perfect mixed media sketchbooks for experimenting with new materials and approaches. The heavyweight surface can take a huge range of wet and dry media, and is tough enough for anything creative you can throw at it - the 250gsm textured paper won’t disintegrate when erasing and is resistant to warping when used with wet techniques. Available in A5, A4, A3 and A2 sizes, each pad comes with a hard greyboard backing and glued sheets along a single edge. The natural (cream/ivory) paper will give a beautiful ground to your work, and can be used within your work to give it a softer edge, especially when using charcoal, graphite, pencils and pastels, however it is also great for use with gouache, acrylic paint and even light watercolour washes.
